Memorial Day

We took a little day trip on Memorial Day. We drove a loop that went up through Wayne County, through the Boulders, and back through Escalante and Tropic to see some ancestor graves. We stopped at Anasazi State Park in Boulder. The kids had fun climbing around the 'model home'.

We had lunch at a beautiful picnic/rest stop in the Boulder Mountains. There was a cute little cabin visitor's center that was built by the CCC in the 1930's. They had two hummingbird feeders hung in the tree. The kids enjoyed watching the dozen or so hummingbird zoom in and out and squawk at each other.
