Alex is a GUY!

A few weeks ago I said to Nelson something like, "Come here little guy." He responded with, "I'm not a guy, I'm a boy!" We went through all the male members of the family -- Ethan's a boy, Kaleb's a boy, Dad's a guy, and Alex is not a guy, he's a big boy.

We hadn't really talked about if for a while until yesterday morning. Alex got his license at about 7:15 a.m.. We came back home and were getting everyone out the door for school. Alex usually gets transported by his father, but on that day he was allowed to take the old Dakota solo. When Nelson saw Alex leaving without his father he wanted to know where he was going. I told him that now he could drive by himself, so he was driving himself to school. Nelson's response, "Oh, now he's a guy."

So cute! You've been busy with cake-baking, birthday parties, soccer games, ordinations, etc. Put your feet up for a while.

It is hard to believe our little Alex isn't so little anymore and has reached such a milestone. BTW, great job on that football cake.
