My favorite moment of the morning was when, after opening just one present, Nelson disappeared and came back in about a minute with the present he'd made in Nursery the Sunday before. He had to go upstairs and back. He came running with the blue bag that I'm holding in the picture saying, "Here, Mom. Open it. It's your present. I made it faster. I did it by myself." It was a necklace made from string and chunky foam Christmas shapes. I was amazed that he would stop after opening one present to remember that he had something to give, and that he was every bit as happy to give a present as get them.
