7 Things

7 Facts -- I was tagged!

Here's how to play:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

I'm sure that since my audience is fairly limited at this point, most of you already know everything about me. Here goes anyway--

1. I don't smell skunks. I believe that Janet shares this with me.

2. In my baby book the list of names my parents considered naming me were:
Janet Kaye
Ruth Ellen
Cami Jean
Suzanne
Janell
(I know Janet knows this as we just discussed it the other day.)

3. Though most people think a cruise sounds exciting, the thought just makes me nauseated. I went to Catalina Island as part of my senior trip and I've never been so motion sick in my life. I don't usually get motion sickness while travelling--car, plane, other boat rides, but I really did that time. I'm sure that it's probably better on a huge ship--maybe I'll be convinced someday.

4. On the same topic of motion sickness -- I do get sick when spinning really fast. I threw up in the corner of the canyon park by the merry-go-round at a class picnic when I was in 3rd or 4th grade. I wasn't really thrilled to go with our kids on the teapot ride at Disneyland. I did discover a secret way to not get sick on the ride. I alternated spinning directions every few spins. I got off the ride not even a little dizzy!

5. I have had a wide variety of jobs in my lifetime. I started out with a paper route. Then I babysat, helped Suzanne sell cards and aloe vera plants, made bows and wrapped wedding registry presents at Hunter-Cowan, was part of the YCC(Youth Conservation Corps) at Cedar Breaks, worked on the line (getting drinks and taking orders) at Golden Corral, was a licensed insurance agent, did reception work, surgery scheduling and accounting for Dr. Fielding, and taught piano and vocal lessons. Now I make wedding cakes, do a lot of sewing, do accounting and occasionally help on the floor at the store, besides all the jobs that I don't get paid for!

6. I want to see all the places that everyone has brought me things from. I think that it's ironic that someone who has spent so many hours in the car hasn't really been that far from home!

7. I love to be home. I think that I'm most content to have all my kids tucked in and curl up on the couch with whatever handwork I'm working on while watching an old movie--anything with Gene Kelly, Doris Day, Fred Astaire, Cary Grant etc. Of course my husband would be next to me, but he's not so much into the movie and probably has the laptop.;)

Now is the hardest part. Since I'm fairly new to this, I don't have a long list of possibilities to tag. So you'll just have to make do with what I can come up with. I think that since Suzanne is my earliest link to this, that Lee should be tagged. Also since she already tagged Mary Lynne, Nathan shouldn't be left out. Preston can cover the Kreston site and Kristin can use Kristiwistin. I will be gracious and leave Janet out in her condition.

I tag:
Lee
Nathan
Preston
Kristin

Yes, that's a good idea. I believe that I, Kristen, will use Kristiwistin to post my 7 things. Thanks Holli!

Oh yeah, I liked reading 7 things! I'm glad everyone is doing it.

Way to fix my name. I'm impressed. I'm also impressed by your little list. Keep up the good work.
