Birthday Boy!

He loved his monkey cake! Next time I make tree leaves from fondant I'll be sure to make them at least a week in advance so we don't have to substitute cardstock.;)

Nelson was a very careful present opener.

He was very cautious about his new trike. He very quickly learned that it was really OK for him to get on it and push all the noisy buttons.

Happy belated birthday to both you and Nelson! How fun that the two of you share a birthday! I hope you received my card--I was thinking of you yesterday!

P.S. The cake is amazing--you are so talented, Holly! Too bad you don't live closer or I would ask you to make my wedding cake!

Where's the picture of you with your birthday cake? Nelson and his cake are super cute. You can try the fondant trees again for my birthday, even though Nelson's trees were pretty much perfect.

I'm glad you have a blog now so there will be continued publication of your great works of art. I can't wait to see Morgan's cake and Alex's cake.
